When we say ALL are welcome, we actually mean it.

Have you been hurt or rejected by Church? Have you deconstructed your faith? Have you been told there’s no place for you in the Church because of your sexual orientation, gender identity or differing views? Are you looking for a safe place to explore spirituality? Have you ever wished you could be part of a church without an expectation for you to adhere to a strict set of beliefs and dogmas? Do you want to be part of a community that is actively doing justice and inclusion work? Then this is the place for you!

When we say ALL are welcome, we actually mean it. We are a perfectly imperfect community doing our best to follow Jesus, fight for justice, and make a better world.

What We Believe

At First Christian Church Katy, we don’t have a set of religious beliefs that we impose or require others to believe in order to be part of our community. We strive to break down barriers that divide us by discovering ways to express love, peace, justice and compassion.

While we do not have a an official list of subscribed beliefs, there are some things that are very important to us as a church community.

Transparent Closet

In early 2019, one of our church members with a trans son asked what it could look like for us to start a “closet” for trans teens to come and get clothes.

What began as a 2-foot by 4-foot shelf in one of our closets was dedicated to become the Transparent Closet.
